Written by Dan and Jean Mayo, with illustrations by Alison Stalker. This book is based on the true story of a flamingo who was in the Ottawa area in November of 1997, and many people were attempting to rescue the bird. As the book tells, the flamingo was rescued just before a big freeze. An interesting story.
