English comedian Tony Hawks foolishly (and somewhat under the influence of alcohol) makes a bet that he can hitchhike around the coast of Ireland with a fridge within a month. The bet is for £100. Sure that he is going to win the bet, Tony immediately invests that money in a fridge and a ticket over to the Emerald Isle. An extremely funny book which makes you believe in the generosity of strangers (or at least in the generosity of the Irish people that Tony meets).
