Robert Alexander is the pseudonym for R.D. Zimmerman. This fictional account of the last days of Tsar Nicholas II and his family as they were held captive by the Reds (Bolsheviki) in Yekaterinburg, Siberia, just east of the Ural Mountains. This chilling, but compelling novel was crafted in such a way as to be quite believeable for the documents on which much is based are readily available in international archives. The author knows the Russian soul. His characters are quite realistic and accurately portrayed. He gives vibrancy and intrigue to what must have been a very boring, monotonous existence for the Romanov family while in captivity. One can also access the author's website at www.thekitchenboy.com which includes some photos and letters referred to in the book. Excellent book!
