This fascinating road novel from Neil Gaiman takes us all across the Continental United States. The destinations on many of these trips don't matter as much as the journey, and the feeling evoked by these trips; Gaiman conveys America vividly. An ex-con named Shadow takes a job that soon plunges him into the world of the gods of the title. An excellent book.
